Joss Stone is also known as the youngest female singer to top the UK Albums Chart. During her career she has performed together with different artists, ranging from Robbie Williams and Rod Stewart to Blondie. Joss Stone, who’s real name is Jocelyn Eve Stoker, was born on 11 April, 1987 in Dover, England.

Song of Myself By 1819-1892 1 I celebrate myself, and sing myself, And what I assume you shall assume, For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you. I loafe and invite my soul, I lean and loafe at my ease observing a spear of summer grass. My tongue, every atom of my blood, form'd from this soil, this air, Born here of parents born here from parents the same, and their parents the same, I, now thirty-seven years old in perfect health begin, Hoping to cease not till death. Creeds and schools in abeyance, Retiring back a while sufficed at what they are, but never forgotten, I harbor for good or bad, I permit to speak at every hazard, Nature without check with original energy. 2 Houses and rooms are full of perfumes, the shelves are crowded with perfumes, I breathe the fragrance myself and know it and like it, The distillation would intoxicate me also, but I shall not let it. The atmosphere is not a perfume, it has no taste of the distillation, it is odorless, It is for my mouth forever, I am in love with it, I will go to the bank by the wood and become undisguised and naked, I am mad for it to be in contact with me.

British soul music vocalist. Born: 11 April 1987 in Dover, Kent, England, UK. Hailing from Ashill, Devon, England, UK. She gained notoriety with her debut album, 'The Soul Sessions' (2003), produced by soul legend and personal mentor, Betty Wright. The release of cover songs, highlighted by her slinky take of The White Stripes' 'Fell In Love With A Girl' (changed to 'Boy'). The album 'Mind Body & Soul' (2004) was her first release of original material, and she has since followed with more albums. Only yesterday, I saw the legendary Joss Stone do an intimate gig at TJ's Woodhouse Club in Leeds, UK (to test new ground, I think) and I just thought of sharing my experience of seeing her live.

As a lot of people know, she has an incredible singing voice, and yes that is indeed true. She sang all of her well known stuff (You Had Me, Tell Me Bout It, Right To Be Wrong, Fell In Love With A Boy etc), plus she even tested material from her new forthcoming album, which really went down a hit with the crowd.

One of the things she did, which really impressed me was her stage persona. She was a real hit with the audience, as she came across as being chatty and really friendly (she sang Stevie Wonder's Happy Birthday to a girl, who had her Birthday that day!), not like those MOR Divas, who are robtotic and big-headed. Joss, and all of the band (who, so I'm told, have worked with James Brown RIP), were very smiley, and seemed like they were having a great time!!! If you haven't checked her out, check her out!
