. 92 Answers SOURCE: Dell has a known problem with driver conflic the best remedy is to right click on my computer click on property open hardware uninstall the driver there and restart the conputer but first make sure you download the driver from intel and burn them on a cd then when you reinstall you won't have to try to figure out if everything is downloading also in security make sure that you allow this site so that all the drivers download. But most of the time if these driver are on a card that is micrsoft certified it will be in the driver file and will reload automaticly when you restart the computer after uninstalling and it should elimenate the driver conflic.

You will need to re-install the Wireless LAN Driver, Updates, and the SmartWi Connection Utilities in the Computer to fix the issue with the Wireless. You can download the Wireless LAN Driver, Updates and the SmartWi Connection Utility from Sony Support Site. Below are the links. Please download and save each file on the Desktop. After that double click on the Original Wireless LAN Driver to begin the installation.
Please follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation. After that, restart the Computer for the settings to take the effect. After restarting the Computer, please install the Updates. Make sure that you restart the Computer after each installation. Then, please re-install the 'SmartWi Connection Utility in the Computer. Download and install the SmartWi Connection Utility in the Computer. after the installation, please turn ON the Wireless Adapter using the SmartWi Connection Utility.

I use an Edimax wireless usb to connect to my internet. Here is a link to the devicea nd its drivers:. I had to disable the device recently (Small tick box in the Edimax software UI), after which it will now no longer enable when i unchecked this box. When i hover over the icon in the start bar i get the error message you see in the title; 'Edimax 11n usb wireless lan is disable'. What is happening is that it keeps refreshing itself as if stuck in a loop and then the tick box magically re-disables itself. I have uninstalled and removed all traces of the software to then re-install everything. It still does the same thing.
