I bought a Marquette 'Farm Welder' AC stick welder an a sale, as a back-up to my lincoln (like i'm really going to need it, but it was cheap enough, i figured the cables and copper winding was worth it at 15 bucks). The thing welds great. Have tried 3/32, 1/8 rods and does a nice smooth job. But somebody sanded and painted it and painted over the face plate that gives the amp ratings for each plug. The cables plug in the face of the thing, and the stinger cable recepts go in a circluar pattern, lower left being the lowest, lower right being the highest. Anybody know what the amp ratings are?
I'd like to mark them back on the face. I just bought one yesterday and it seems to be the same as yours. Mine is a model 501.
It goes up to 180 amps w/ a low, medium and high selection holes across the bottom for the cable. The holes starting from left (facing the machine) to right are: 1) 20,25, 30 2) 35, 40, 45 3) 50, 55, 65 4) 75, 85, 95 5) 105, 115, 125 6) 130, 140, 150 7) 140, 160, 180 Yes there are 2 140 settings. I just called Marquette and they faxed me a copy of the instruction manual with a parts list for free. Their toll free # is 1-800-328-2921 Hope this helps.
